Gentlemen, start your engines.
Kicking off the menswear part of Fashion Week at Exit Art Wednesday
night, Tim Coppens put a fierce stamp on Fall/Winter 2012, with lots of
statement outerwear inspired by the film "Drive," ice hockey and racing
gear for his collection called Faster.
Color, details and precision raced to the top of the trend list, with shoulder pads that
became patch flap pockets and kidney protectors that enforced the
performance-oriented collection's drive. Termed a "hybrid" show by its producers, the models strutted a no-bones runway, then struck a pose along one wall for better viewing/blog snapping.
And, we're off!
