Two New York names that go together like, well....like Mizrahi and Kleinfeld. What took them so long?! They finally tied the knot last Wednesday during bridal fashion week, marrying Mizrahi modernism with the New York legacy of Kleinfeld traditionalism.
Scott, Ethan and I (the B Production crew for the event) were lucky enough to be covering backstage for Beauty.com at the debut bridal collection of Isaac Mizrahi New York for Kleinfeld and were able to witness the wonderful wedding options up close and first hand. The gowns were lovely, sweet and totally of today. Full sweeps, satin sashes, hints of pink and black, a bit of embroidery. It was full on Isaac fun with the elegance and beauty every bride could ever want or need on her special day.
Isaac spoke to us before the show of tea length hems, a more modern approach and even black and white gingham accents, as seen on full flowing, bowed sashes cinching waists: "I wanted to create something traditional and relevant." And he did.
The licorice-colored, sweetheart neckline Grace Kelly-type gown with the pink sash makes me want to get married all over again.
Which one(s) is YOUR fav?!
It's got my name written all over it! Scott, shooting B-roll, backstage.
Gotta love the pockets on this innocent looking strapless confection.
Isaac at the finale.
